Dump!

Yay! Sketch dump!

Odd what just pops out of one's head, ne? And would you believe it, I drew this with no model whatsoever. Just came straight out of the old noodle. It started with just a simple hand, and then I just sort of waxed into a lot of the imagery I used to immerse myself in when I was a kid and totally nuts about Lakota and various other tribal myth. All in all, not bad for just pencil. I likes it!

I recently watched a bunch of Hayao Miyazaki's(<=is a GOD; worship him) work again. Good lord I love the way his old women look. And overall everything from Studio Ghibli. *shameless fangirl* But anyway, from watching Spirited Away for the umpteenth time, I was once again musing about the fact that Baba, Baba Yaga, what ever name she goes by seems to be prancing around a lot of different regions and myths. Not really a Baba character, and isn't near a house with chicken feet(or is she?!), but certainly crafted with all that in mind.
More images from the story I have mentioned on here!
This is a concept of Deela meeting Veld the Shi'ih for the first time. Like I said, Veld's a plant-like shapeshifter, and yes, that's her head popping out of a flower. Surprised? So is Dee.
