KOU GAI

The Kou Gai are very rabbit-like. They stand around 7-8 ft to a human. Body is completely fur covered. The females and males are differentiated by the ears; females have flop ears, while the males stand straight up. However, there are males that are born flop ears and vice-versa, so this isn't a reliable method. Their main form of language is unspoken, a variety of body and hand signals.
The race are very prominent fighters; they have fashioned themselves all kinds of weapons that they augment with their own ability of elemental harnessing(not just limited to basic elements(suck it avatar I came up with this long before you nyah!)). Ornamentation is used in a very ceremonial manner, usually around the stone like gem each Kou Gai has some where on their body(a center point for their elemental control{usually on a Chi node}). They are only clothed from the waist down.
War-like and valuing skill in elemental harnessing and prowess with chosen weapon above all, the different Kou Gai tribes conquered the majority of their planet, weaker tribes, even the other less war-disposed race that lived along side them. They had no means of space travel until their planet was discovered, and still, had no real reason to leave home for the stars. However, it is quite possible to see younger Kou Gai in space as body guards, law enforcers, even assassins or bounty hunters.
UA'GII
Much smaller and less aggressive than the Kou Gai, the Ua'gii stand about 3-4ft tall to a human. Passionate and emotional, their fur can be one of any shade of the rainbow, and they grow out the fur on the top of their head into any number of different styles. They too possesses the ability to control an element. However, they do not possess the stone-like protrusion the Kou Gai have, nor do they have a will for weapons. Their elemental control is typically expressed through crafting, dancing and art. If forced to fight, they have a very fluid martial art they have developed, one that centers on distraction and redirection to give them a chance to flee.At heart, the Ua'gii are craftsman. They are the reason the Ua'gii and the Kou Gai have a written language, art, song, dance. Long they have lived under the ruling of the Kou Gai, so they know almost instinctively how to serve.
The discovery of their planet was opportunity to them. A chance to explore and seek new grounds. They can be found all over performing all sorts of tasks, to familiar house keeping, almost servant-esque jobs to writing, crafting, even dance and street performing.
