lucky you!

So anyway, there used to be a time when the only thing I ever drew was dragons. All I read was dragon books. I researched everything I possibly could that was dragon related. Love 'em to death. Then a few years ago, I set my draconic obsession aside to work on other things and keep my style up to date(mostly because I had an idea for a story that involved more than just dragons).

After a little while, I didn't draw them that much.

Well another BK bunn recently became enamored with the beautiful creature and started drawing them. Her drawings are just beautiful, and I can feel myself already slipping back into rapture.

This is a luck dragon. Hence why it's furry and feathered.

Dragons on the braiiin. I luff dragons. I usually draw them to DEATH. Been trying to control myself. So anywhoodle, this here is Ned! He's just a cute and cuddly little draggy. A little bovine looking, but I still love him.

I have a bad habit of giving her a hat and nothing else. Bunny streaking for the win! ^^ And of course that's a quote from Alice in Wonderland. I always thought Disney was poopy for cutting the Mock Turtle.

Isn't that just fantastic?? She's an awesome artist! Its funny; I've only really communicated with anyone on that site through type alone, and yet this little drawing is a WONDERFUL little characture of my personality. And it's not the only one. I have a whole slew of beautiful art from talented bunns. One day I'll post them all.

In other news, I've got illustrative gold! I went out to Borders recently. In truth, I was in search of some sort of literary inspiration. I haven't read a good book since Saving Sprite(a dog book my dad sent me last Christmas) and am completely starved for a good yarn. Fiction. Non-fiction. Just as long as its not romance(bleh). But as I usually do, I got sucked in by the art section. In my defense, they had a sweet deal(buy 4 get your 5th one free! what? got my attention anyway...) and there I saw it, nestled the books like a gem in a bush. So yeah. Totally forgot my literary mission and scooped it up as fast as humanly possible. So beautiful. Happy girl!

July shenanigans: unemployment and apologies

WELL! Yesterday was eventful. Unfortunately, work is so slow, I was downsized. Again(second time by same company; yeah yeah shoulda seen it but dern it I lurv Ridgways and the people who work there so yeh I'll say hells yes when they ask me if I need a jorb). I'm not really bitter about it; its just a repeat of what happened last November, and not to be a snot, but I kind of saw it coming. Logical choice, you know? Small doc was deader than deadsville and similar cirs.

THE BIG THING: I was a wreck when it happened, left so I didn't crumble in the store, and got a message from Ray on my phone but I don't trust myself to talk in person(I'm a whiner) and I can't seem to find ya on MySpace. So Ray if your reading this, I got your message but I'm too chicken to call you back. But I'll miss ya too. And I just realized I still have the work keys. o.x I'll have to do something about that.

SO, important stuff aside, I feel obligated to throw up some art. A couple different attempts at drawing Onix Pride(from bk). These were totally digital. That's right! Verdict? I see Potential(tm):
