Colored BK bunns

And the final project! Very happy! Tried some new things and they worked out perfectly. Very red. But I think I made good use of monotones. Squee I hope she likes it!

Oh also I don't think I mentioned it here: I won the May contest and Heart4art's panda contest! Swoo!!

Worry bird!

This is the worry bird! Its something I drew off of an old old OLD statue my grandparents had in their house. I used to be completely fascinated by this thing. Basically, whisper your problems to it and it will take them away from you.

Isn't it just gorgeous? Golly I love this thing.

BK bunns again

Just the pencils for now. This is for Dagonet. She's running a contest to do a picture of her and her boy's dream bunnies. Cute outfits(and her photo gallery is purty too). I've been going through my Granddad's fairy encyclopedia an awful lot lately, so I drew them less bunny and more pooka-esque. I like. Prolly gonna make it photography-like when I'm done.

Wallpaper

I made the Tiel picture into a wallpaper. Background of a fire, a little playing with a few layers and voila.

Rebirths, fire, students and coloring

So anyhoo, I've been doing a lot of stuff on Bunny Kingdom(duh). But Chris' been a little sad cuz I haven't been paying attention to some of his characters I said I'd draw. So I'm fixing that. This is one of 'em. Story's sort of a high school beat 'em up and the main character is a reincarnation of a god. That would be this fella, Tiel. Pencils below:

I really like the pencils, but I've always felt that my drawn flame lacks that firey spark. I wound up getting rid of them in the color version. Instead of letting the pencil shades do all the talking, I added a little color shading as well this time:

Overall, pretty pleased. I love the way the fire came out. And the shading I did is nice and subtle. Huzzoo! Fire god teen!

Ima supahheroo!

So anyway I would be lying if I said I didn't deep down want to be a super hero. Oh totally do. Buzz about the MMO Champions coming out next year got me a thinkin' of character designs. Cuz I'm totally gonna be a part of that.

So I've got 2 heros in mind: Witch X and Miss Spell. Witch X is an heiress apparant to a very prominant magic family who runs away to be a hero and escape the over protective grip of said family. Miss Spell is a rich snob who dreams of the glamorous life of a stage magician, fails, tries to juice her preformance with real magic and gets the notion to be a super hero. You know, like they totally make more money.

I worked on Witch X's design first. Here's the pencils:

Yup, its a modified biker's outfit. X loves bikes, and the helmet is a handy way to keep her family from recognizing her. If I can(not sure what the powers run yet), she can magically animate metal. Kind of like the scene from Sword and the Stone where Merlin makes the room clean itself? Like that.

And the colored version! Really happy with how it came out. I tried to put together colors that I haven't seen that much of. And white leather is just cool. So yeah.

Bk bunn

More arts. This is for Limegreenpop8. For the draw da bunny post. Some really interesting costume choices up there. I'm actually really proud of this. So woot!

Note: That dress was supposed to have easter eggs on it. But I thought the design was kind of tacky(alert alert! artistic snobbery! *shameless*). So I chose to ignore em. Also, I joined a club(second one actually). This one is sort of a hangout for insomniacs. There's a banner competition. My submission:

Mostly image manipulation and font placement. I think its pretty apropo. Gives the vibe of "Gar why can't I sleep?!" Speaking of which, I have an insomnia bout right now. Blargle. I have work to do but I can't really do it in the state I'm in.

Afoot! Afoot! Things are afoot!

Colored pencils and plots

Squar I've been up to no good again. Just been silent about it. But as I love to share, here's a few things I did with some colored pencils I found.

Really like that Kotaro on the bottom. Mingled in there of course is my BK bunny again. Man I tell ya, that place is great for stimulating creativity. I'm just hoping I don't outrun myself per usual and wear out. I'm particuarly proud of the fairy dragon and the plum fairy. Although it scanned incredably blue no matter what I did. Also:

Oh yes. Things are afoot.

Gwah!

D'oh today is Father's Day and I forgot to call my Dad. So if your reading, Daddy, Happy Father's Day! In a related note, I had called on the 12th when I thought it was Dad's Day then so I'm not sure if that counts or not...

Anyhoo, droodled a bunny. Well, my avatar from BK. I'm happy with it.

Very grey, but I like it a lot. Swoo! Rather proud of the way I've been doing things lately.

Glargle

Well, I drew myself out of supplies. How does somebody do that?? I mean seriously. I must be some kind of genius retard or something. Anyway, got a bunch of things a brewin', half of which are in limbo because I have no pencils or paper. So without further ado, here's some other jank I've been working on. This is another contest entry. They're the avatars for TwistedBunny:

The outfits reminded me of Jem! And hairbands! Here's the colored version:

I drew another bunny for the 'draw the bunny below you' thread. This is Schaly, who is pretty friggin' cool. I'm in an RP with her. Its been a lot of fun.

I liked the pencils a lot.

Then I doodled my character from the afforementioned RP. This here is Khord. I think I posted about him earlier too...but the roleplay hadn't started at that point. Its up and running now, and I've just gotten done with an epic battle of doom that ran bout 3 or so days to type. Was a LOT of fun. Post replies were mad fast. Anyhoo, now that I've played with the jerk, how he looks is a little easier to put to paper:
I'll probably try to color this later. But right now I REALLY need to get my lazy tail to the store so I can keep drawing.

Even more!

Yarp. Even more! This time, this was made for heart4art's contest. To draw a panda! No restrictions. Just as long as it was panda-based. I drew a panda. Who also happened to be a monk. Sketcheroo:

And the finished product. The writing is SUPPOSED to mean 'wisdom'. But I'm trusting where I found the symbols. For all I know it could mean 'rhutabega'. I debated with myself on putting them in for that fact alone, but in the end I thought it would look cool. So cool>common sense yet again. Anyhoo, final product:
