Part 2 of Miss Attackat's 3 part commission. This here is a reinterpretation of her character, Talous. She wasn't very happy with her original design, so I was given a lot of liberty with drawing him, except for the long-ish black hair, and the green-tinted goggles. And she let me steampunk him. Oh how I love steampunk. I'm a Sci-fi geek and a history buff at heart, so the preindustrial period with titanic Ford-esque rickety robots and space colonies makes my heart go all a-twitter!
So yeh, turtleneck and obligitary 'I am not a careful boy' face bandages. And a stylin' jacket. Wewt!
Drawn to Old Boy-The Last Waltz
::Just a second regarding the music::
Holy cow! The Last Waltz is absolutely beautiful(found it on a rotation site; am definately going to scrounge up what CD this belongs to when I have the means to buy it. Think it comes from a movie). And the amazing thing is that its a waltz showcasing a clarinet(for those of you who have nothing to do with a traditional band, clarinets, unless the musician is very good at that instrument, largely sound like a strangled goose and should only be played with a thick dishtowel shoved up the end where the sound comes out), and its just so....beautiful. I spent every school year I could in band until my Mother demanded I got braces and ruined my mouth so I had no chance to play my trumpet anymore(not bitter, its just the truth; went from second chair{and I could have easily knocked Josh out of first hee; I just prefer harmony to melody. PLUS I got to play the Flugle horn!} advanced band to last chair reject band and that was probably pity on my band teacher's part; I tried and tried to practice to get back what was ruined; never happened). Long story short, I absolutely love classic music and its a shame some circles pooh-pooh it. And there are so many flavors to it! My personal favorite classic period is Romantic.
Who knows? Maybe once I get all my ducks in a row I'll wander back down the road to my first flirtation with music and pick up a viola again.
Afoot! Afoot! Things are afoot!
